The Past 4 Days

Since I haven't posted a picture in a few days, this is a cute one. On Wednesday when I stayed home from the gym, Elizabeth helped daddy grill the steaks. Whenever he comes home from work, mommy ceases to exist and she becomes daddy's little shadow.

These past few days have been pretty busy. Thursday, our realtor called to let me know that she found a really great property for my dad over in Viera. That area is really boomin' right now. So when dad came home from his doctor's appointment, we went up there to check it out. Long story short? Dad closes on his CONDO on March 1st. He is really excited. The market here is insane right now. The condo is the perfect size for him, 1 bedroom, 1 bath. They were former apartments, bought out and turned into condos. So all of the carpeting, appliances, are BRAND NEW! He is so happy about that. The best part is that if in a year he wants something bigger, he can sell it and make a big profit since that area is building up so fast. All of the houses surrounding his condo are selling for $200,000 and up. Did I mention how excited he is? Well, once we got home, I went straight back out to a crop at my Creative Memories consultant's house. I learned how to open and close up my album which has been all messed up for a year or so. I got a few pages done, which was real progress for me.

Hmmm...Friday Elizabeth and I went to the park and really had a good time. I wish that I would have brought my camera because she was just too cute. Jim's dad had surgery on his neck on Friday as well. It was pretty stressful, but he is home recovering now. Saturday we took Elizabeth up to the hospital so that she could see her Grandpa. He was really happy to see her. Then on Saturday night, my dad and Jim went to Orlando to see a basketball game. Dad had a great time, the next day he was talking all about it. He had never been to an actual game before. Neither had Jim and he said that he really enjoyed himself as well.

Sunday we all went to my good friend Leslie's home to celebrate her little one's 2nd birthday. We really had a great time. In fact, it was such a great time we didn't get home until after 8pm!
No pictures from the party because I used my dad's camera and not the digital. I will get them put on a CD whenever I get them developed.

wow, now that I have written my life story for the morning!! I have got to go and get breakfast ready and get my little Bean up. I am so blessed that she likes to sleep in.

My Little Hula Girl

This afternoon Bean and I were playing around and since it was too cold to actually put her hula outfit on, we put it on over her clothes and she just loved it! We got it for her while we were over in Hawaii.

So far today has been a good day, laundry and the typical stuff, didn't go to the gym tonight. We are having steaks on the grill. Everything in moderation, right?

At my weigh in on Monday I didn't gain or lose in the 4 weeks that I had not been going or watching what I was eating. But as of Monday I am determined to get back on track. I would like to be 150-160 by my birthday In October. I think that is a pretty realistic goal. Not interested in posting my weight right now.....I am still in denial.

Well dinner is almost ready so I must cut this one short. Tomorrow Bean and I have MOPS at the church in the morning, will post how that went tomorrow night. Adios

Silly Bean

Took Elizabeth outside today for her first ride on her new toy. She liked it, as much as an almost 2 year old can like it. She is trying to get the hang of it. Well, must get going, have a Women's Ministry meeting at the church tonight. I might download a few more later tonight. Depends on how I feel, been feeling a bit run down lately.

Last on for tonight

Whenever we are in the kitchen, Bean loves to sit up on the counters and hang out. Tonight since she was on the same level as her daddy she decided that his glasses look better on her upside down than when daddy wears them right side up. She is just a ham! I like the little lip curl she has going on.

Kawasaki Power Wheels

Tonight we drove to Toys R Us at 8:15pm to get this cute little ATV for Elizabeth. Long story!! Let's just say Toys R Us is not the picture of efficiency. End of discussion. Now we just have to wait 18 hours to see if she can drive it. We chose this one because it is the perfect size for her and the power button is in the steering wheel instead of like her jeep where she can't reach the gas pedal. Note that daddy put the Kawasaki sticker on backwards. Glad that wasn't me.

Yahoo Games

So who do I get to complain to? Jim found this really cool Mahjong game on Yahoo and we were having a really good time with it. So, at the end of our free trial, we decided to buy it since we liked it. $19.99 but we liked it. Well, this afternoon we went over to Best Buy so that Jim could get a controller for his computer so that he can play NHL 2002 on his computer and guess what I found?? The same exact game for $9.99!!! Not much I can do about that....but I will stew in it for awhile.

We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday Elizabeth and I went to one of our friend's home to celebrate her 1st birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect birthday party, very simple. All of the kids enjoyed playing with eachother. Elizabeth took awhile to warm up to them, but by the end of the afternoon I think she was having a good time.

Today we went to the flea market, picked up dog food (yeah!) and went over to Best Buy and Toys r Us. We are looking into getting Elizabeth a playground set for the backyard for her birthday. She really doesn't have very many outside toys. And since she is an outside kind of girl we thought she would really enjoy it. Still in the reasearch process, her birthday isn't until March. The link is one of the ones we are looking at. We don't have a real big back yard but we want for it to be something she will use for a few years for that price.

I did pick up a copy of Gwen Stephani's new CD and am quite impressed by it. Of course she could sing nursery rhymes and I would still love it. She is just one of those cool people, ya know? Also picked up Green Day's recent one. Haven't really had the chance to listen to the whole thing.

Well, I am going to go play my $19.99 mahjong game...lol

TGIF!

Well, today ends our first full week back from Hawaii. I am still recovering from the cold that Elizabeth shared with me, but feeling much better for the most part. About 15 minutes ago, my UPS man delivered the 4 books that I had ordered earlier in the week. So tonight after she goes to bed you all know what I will be doing. If I actually read something that sparks a light bulb in my head, I will post it here for my mommie friends.

Hmmmm....I have had a headache since 10am this morning and it seems to be getting worse instead of better after taking a lot of Excederin.

OHHHH.....on a really positive note, Elizabeth must have been talking to her best friend Aislynn yesterday because she slept in until 9:54 this morning!! WOW!! I wouldn't mind this trend for a few more days. And to make matters even better?? She took a nap from 3-5pm this afternoon, so did mommy but that is another story all together.

Well, must go make some dinner before the natives get restless.

Last night while we were taking a walk outside Elizabeth fell down and scraped her knees pretty bad on the sidewalk. Of course she was a little more dramatic than the actual injuries. A little Bactine and 2 Band-Aid's and she was ready to pose for this picture. Poor Baby!!

Unknowing to mommy, yesterday Elizabeth decided that she wanted to take some pictures with my camera. While I was downloading last night I found about 6 pictures that she had taken, mostly of her feet. Not bad for a 21 month old. I guess that she is walking in the footsteps of her Auntie Linda.

Outside!

That is Elizabeth's new word of the week. She will hand you her shoes, so you put them on, then she hands you your shoes, so you put those on too. Then she grabs your hands and points at the sliding glass door and says, "Outside!" So today, as crappy as I am feeling, yes she shares colds as well, we spent most of the morning outside. I wish I would have brought my digital camera today because it was so cute! She has a mini umbrella stroller for her babies and she put her teddy bear that her Great Uncle Brian got her for Christmas and took it for a walk around the block, too cute! Well, that is it for today, I am feeling like crap and am going to try and get some rest for tomorrow. Got EconoKill and my new washer being delivered tomorrow, the joys of staying at home....

Purple Rhino Mask

This is one of the better nebulizer sessions. At least the mask is a good attempt at being kid friendly. This morning I did the treatment for the first time by myself, that was an adventure. Tonight I had Jim's help and let us just say it wasn't one of the better nights so far. I have the last day marked really big on our calendar in the kitchen. Can't imagine having to do this all of the time.

An uneventful kind of Day

That about says it. Elizabeth and I spend the morning walking around the neighborhood and playing in the back yard. Then we ate lunch and we both took 2 hour naps. My body is still adjusting to loosing 5 hours somewhere between Hawaii and here. Then a friend of mine from Tampa was in town to see my mother-in-law and stopped by to see Bean. It was real nice to see her. I met her through my mother-in-law and she has just become a special person in our family as well. She got Elizabeth a cute book called Kokopelli and the Butterfly. The author acutally lives in Tampa and he actually autographed it "To Bean" I was very impressed and can't wait to sit down with her and read it. Tonight when Jim got home, we had to go up to Appliance Direct and purchase a washer because mine broke and the part and labor would cost the same as buying a new one. Needless to say, we bought the extended warranty on this one. So now I have just finished spending money over at Barnes and Noble. com on some books on toddlers. Since children don't come with instruction manuals, I decided it was time to buy some. I think I made some pretty good choices, I guess you all know what I will be reading for the next month or so.

Can you guess what my parenting issue is? She threw herself down on the dirty floor at Appliance Direct and had a fit because I didn't want her banging her umbrella stroller into appliances. She gives new meaning to scratch and dent appliances. Hmmm.....don't laugh.

I just love this picture of Elizabeth. My friend Leslie took it at her home. Elizabeth loves cats but unfortunately both Jim and I are allergic to them. I guess it is a good thing that I have friends with cats so she can get her fix.

Honu

Well, while I was in Hawaii, I finally did it. I got my 2nd tattoo. This was my Christmas present and ultimate souvenir of Hawaii. So now I have my little "honu" family on my back. The second baby honu being my daughter Cheryl who is home in heaven. I feel sorry for the next child because that one will be even closer to my butt, lol. I got it done at a place called TnT Tattoo in Aiea by a guy there named Kev. He did a really good job. Of course, none of this should come as a shock to anyone, lol.

Silly Mommy

Well, here I go with another attempt to keep a blog, weblog, whatever you want to call it. The purpose of this is to keep friends and family up to date on Elizabeth. So far it seems fairly easy to use. Now I just have to keep up with it.
