Today after Jim got home from work he was in the back yard pulling up some weeds and I guess when he was done Elizabeth decided it was her turn.

Mommy and her Bean on Easter morning, I wish she would have been looking at the camera, but you know how two year olds are :)

Easter morning, this is the only picture that really turned out. My friend Amanda gave this dress to Elizabeth and it was the perfect Easter dress for her. She looks like a little princess.

Taken on March 25th, I had rearranged her toys the night before and the next morning she found her tub full of Care Bears and decided to hang out with them.

Jim took this picture in our backyard a few days ago, I just love her smile in this one. Please ignore the green dot on her forhead, we have a dead pixel on our digital camera and it is just not in the budget to buy a new on right now.

When she was opening her gifts, she was more interested in the clothes than the toys, typical girl :) This particular outfit was made by my friend Traci who does custom art on clothing. She also makes beautiful bracelets and necklaces. I will have to take a picture of the one that she made for me. I wear the bracelet almost everyday. If you are interested and want to check out her work, her id on ebay is: Leeziebee

I just love this picture too. A few Sundays ago we went over to grandma and grandpa's house and they sat in the back yard making mud pies. Leslie, you would be proud.

Just a little view of the table. I don't have a picture of the cake yet, I made it myself and bought the cake decorations from a gal on ebay. So she had a Care Bear and Boohbah birthday this year, her two favorite things....just a note...the china cabinet in the back was my parents first piece of furniture that they purchased. It didn't really fit in dad's condo so I got it. Doesn't it just look like it was meant to be there?

Yummy cake and ice cream. A totally different child from last year. She dug in her cake and at almost all of it. Last year she didn't want anything to do with her cake. Grandma Beak took this picture.

Elizabeth literally eating her candle! I gave it to her to lick off the icing and later that day when I went to wash it off, that little goober was eating it. Another one for the scrapbook.

A quick on for now

Happy Birthday Bean! I cannot believe that 2 years ago today God blessed Jim and I with the most beautiful baby girl. Back then, I could never imagine her turning 2 and now I still can't believe it. I thank God everyday for giving us such a precious gift. I have pictures but I am going to save that for another day. We had a busy weekend and I am just ready to call it a day.

HAPPY EASTER!!
HE HAS RISEN!!!

Sorry!

I had to delete some posts, for some reason when I went back to edit them and give them a "title" the pictures disappeared. So I just went back and deleted them. I will re-post the pictures soon. For now I am going to head off to bed, today was a long day and I think it has finally caught up with me.

Taken March 3rd. When I am in the kitchen Elizabeth likes to get in the way (ok, she thinks she is helping) so I taught her to be a drummer...the noise is crazy but at least she is not under my feet. And she loves to make noise. So I think we have our drummer for the Basye-Watts project, what do you think?

Taken March 2nd. I had to take this picture because she just looks like such a homeless child. She took her pants off, put on her socks and shoes by herself. This will be a good blackmail picture when she gets older, huh?

Today

Well, I guess I kind of left everyone hanging with my last journal entry. The past week has been pretty busy. My "interview" with S. about serving on a ministry team went very well. In fact this past Sunday I spent with Kids In Ministry for the first time. I had such a wonderful time. I truly feel that God has called me to be apart of this wonderful ministry. One of the women that "leads" this group is also in my Tuesday morning bible study. I feel blessed that I will be able to get to know her even better. She is a really nice person.

Last week Elizabeth missed Kindermusik and we spent the morning in the doctors office. She had an ear infection in her left ear, bronchiolitis, and is being treated again for RSV. So until next Monday she is back on her nebulizer treatments again. She had her antibiotic and she really seems to be doing a lot better. She also is just so good at sharing that she shared with her mommy, Auntie Cindy, and Aislynn. I am going to have to talk to her about sharing colds. So needless to say not much got done last week because we were all sick.

Today was pretty crazy. But it ended nicely. Our Women's Ministry team put together a program for Breast Cancer Awareness and it was just a wonderful evening of educational information and fellowship with other women. Cindy came with me and she said that she had a good time as well. I hope that whoever is the deacon for Women's Ministry next year will keep this program going. I think that all of the women who attended went away learning something new.

Well, now is the time to end this journal entry and post some pictures of Bean, after all that's why you all come here, right?

Cheryl Dale Watts

Please understand that this post is sad, it will make you cry. Please, if that is not a good thing for you to do today, please do not read this entry.

I found this in my computer this morning and I just have a need to share. Today a woman from church is coming over to discuss serving on a ministry team at our church. One of the questions on the profile is when I became a Christian. Now mind you I joined Trinity back in 1997, became a Christian, but I truly feel in my heart that I finally knew what it meant to be a Christian on July 3rd 2001. I am posting this because this is what I am thinking about today, the day I became a Christian "for real"

My how things can change in a matter of a week. The last Thursday of June Jim and I went to our second ultrasound for the baby and everything was fine. Baby was growing and so was mommy's belly. Dr thought it was a girl but told us not to paint the bedroom pink just yet...so that day we went to Home Depot and bought a couple shades of blue--that weekend his mom, and my sister-in-law painted baby's room. It is a couple different shades of blue with pretty fluffy clouds along the top. We put up the crib, we went to Toys R Us and purchased the "playpen" and grandpa watts purchased the car seat and stroller. All is wonderful--

Then on Tuesday July 3rd I find myself driving over to the dr's office, I had been spotting for 3 or so days, nothing major I think because after all, I am not cramping or anything but decide to go just in case. Around 1:45pm I am in the office and my water breaks, now I didn't know this, I thought that I couldn't control my bladder from nerves or something. Dr comes in, I'm still leaking fluid, he does an examination and says something about an ambulance and walks out for a second. Betty from work is with me through all of this, thank God!! He comes back in and informs me that I have an incompitent cervix, I am four centimeters dialated, I have lost all of my amniotic fluid and there is a 80% change that my baby won't make it.....black out...calm mode sets in after I completely loose it on the table as Betty holds my hand and comforts me. They carry me out of the doctors office in an ambulance. Betty calls my husband to meet us there. I am now on the third floor--Special Maternity care unit. It is now 3pm. They ask tons of questions, Jim comes, they give me an ultrasound that comfirms that I have lost ALL of my baby's precious amniotic fluid. I am on COMPLETE bed rest. My ob, Dr. Zipper comes in a few hours or so later...not good news, and I don't really care to go into the statistics that he gave us. So the high-risk pregnancy md will see me tomorrow--the same dr that saw me earlier that day in the office when my water broke--Dr. Africano. Ok--July 4th I go into labor around 1pm. At 5:05 our little angel is born into the world, Cheryl Dale Watts is 10 and 1/2 inches and 14.2 ounces. She has only spent 22 weeks in her mothers womb so her lungs have not developed. Cheryl Dale is baptized by Pastor Chris from our church around 5:15pm. Our precious angel passed away at 5:37pm. I held her until 7pm that night. Our little angel is now with my mother up in heaven.

I went home July 5th. I have a special box that the girls at the hospital made for us. It contains the blanket that she was wrapped in, a dress that they put her in, some pictures, her feet and hand prints. I left the hospital with that instead of my little girl. I am a mother now, Jim is a daddy but we don't have her here with us. But we are parents just the same. I can't open that box, I can't go into the baby room. I can't stop thinking that I should have known something was wrong sooner. I can't understand why.

Ironically, such a tragic event has brought me back into contact with my sister. It feels right to be able to have her back in my life again. She sent me a CD with a song by Tori Amos (who I personally can't stand, hehe) but it is a song that Tori wrote after she had her miscarriage--I look forward to listening to it, right now I just can't bear to hear that. But it meant alot that she cares enough to send something like that my way.

It's hard...no one can possibly understand the pain that Jim and I feel. No one can try to understand, yet I would NEVER wish something so tragic to happen to them so that they could understand. I am so full of sadness, anger, lonliness. Yet, at the same time I can see a light at the end of this long, long tunnel. We will get pregnant again, we will have a family, and things will get better. As for now, I am still walking that tunnel. Not anywhere near that light right now...it's only been a week.

Im bumming everyone out--i am sorry. I just felt the need to write all of this down. It's tatooed in my brain forever, Jim and I will never forget. But it feels good to write it down.

much love to everyone out there who reads this journal, my utmost respect to the doctors and nurses who helped make those 3 days just a little better.

May God bless everyone. And for my precious angel, Cheryl, your mom and dad love you so much.

I feel at peace posting this, please don't feel sorry for me, this is an event that brought Jim and I closer to God. Well, I must go now and get my little Elizabeth Irene up to start her day. Praise God that she is in our lives...how lucky is she.....she has a sister who is an angel in heaven watching over her everyday.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!!!!
