And the last one, the big brown blop is supposed to be Gizmo, Kyra, Klondike, and Daisy. Here is a cool tip for all you with children......since they generally have so much artwork and it is next to impossible to keep it all, what I have been doing is taking digital pictures of her work and then throwing the origial out when she is not looking, i.e. daddy gave Bean her bath and mommy threw out all but one...the first picture because Jim wanted to put it in his office :) He is such a proud daddy.

Friday night I let her paint before she took a bath and she had a blast! Crayola makes these gel paints that come in tear off strips and they are awesome! Each strip has purple, yellow, orange, blue, red, and green. I think I have a picture somewhere in here of what it lookd like. She used them as finger paints and used the brush. It cracks me up at how serious she looks when she is doing any kind of art project.

Elizabeth's first Pigtails!! YEAH!!

Whenever you get the rubber bands in her hair, she plays with them until they finally come out. At least she amuses me for a few minutes. I am sure that if Cindy, Leslie, or Amanda put them in her hair she would keep them in.

Pigtails!! Finally, after months of wishing, I can finally put pigtails on Bean. Although since she has never had enough hair to do anything with, she only keeps them in her hair for 5 minutes top. So I am glad that I got some pictures or no one would have believed me.

Friday Pictures, enjoy!

Just Bean, she is going thru a stage where she loves having her picture taken. I am debating whether or not to take her up to Sears and get some professional pictures, but I think that in the end, I have a friend who is a professional photographer and I am going to have her come to the house and take pictures of Bean. She did her 2 year old pictures and they turned out beautiful. She looks so grown up.

Here is Elizabeth with her me :) I wish that I would have at least put a little make up on. I am trying to grow my bangs out just to see what I will look like and they are in that very awkward stage right now. I have had bangs like forever so I am looking forward to seeing what I will look like with my hair all one length.

I know, it is not a picture of Bean, but Tish sent this one to me awhile back and I just love it. The reflection of his head on the glass looks so good in the picture. I don't think that it would look as good in color, this was a definite black and white moment. She had better print it out and scrapbook it!!!!

Hump Day

Yawn...it is HumpDay. Elizabeth has her first Active Artists class today and I am really looking forward to it. She loves to draw and paint so I am really hoping that she enjoys this class.

Yesterday was fun and relaxing for the most part. The night before Amanda called at like 5pm and asked if Elizabeth and I were going to go to the MOPS playdate and I was telling her about my Lovely Ladies Life Group (LLLG) Luncheon that day. She offered to take Bean to the playdate and I was still adamant on taking her to the LLLG Luncheon.

Well, in the end, Elizabeth went to the playdate and I am sure that she had way more fun than she would have at the Luncheon. There was a 3 other kids from MOPS there so it was like a little reunion for her. My luncheon was awesome. The food was delicious, the fellowship great. The next one we are going to have at a resturant, I will probably take Bean to that one because all of the girls were disappointed that I did not bring Bean to the Luncheon. So I kinda felt bad about that.

I didn't get back to the church until 2pm! Then I went and got Bean, hung out at Amanda's until 3pm, got home, the wood floor people called and wanted to move the date up a week, so I called them back and said SURE! (because I love to be pressed for time, actually I am REALLY excited to be getting my floors and this is the second time they have called to try to move it up a week) Then Jim came home at 4pm, I left for my eye appointment, came home at 5:30pm and Jim was on the phone with Tish, then I talked to Tish and made dinner at the same time and then at 630pm I got off the phone with Tish to eat dinner, cleaned up, gave Bean a bath (because she has this new thing with me being the one to give her a bath) gave her her medicine, and she went to bed at 8:30pm cause she hasn't been taking naps lately, much to my dismay. Then I went in on the computer and worked on typing the Covenants for the Homeowner's Association. I went to bed at 10:30pm, read Catch-22 cause that is due by June 16th and I am not even half way through and went to bed about midnite. So once again I.....YAWN!

Right now she is in the living room watching the Wiggles and singing. She has been doing that a lot lately and it is the cutest thing you will ever hear. Her favorite songs to sing are Itsy Bitsy Spider and You are my Sunshine. I need to get it on video, you would love it.

Well, today I have my shrink appointment for a med check, that should be quick and painless. But you don't come to this website to hear about me do you? I know, I have babbled and not posted any pictures lately. I haven't taken any because we were going to get a new digital camera but instead we bought a generator for hurricaine season and that wiped out that fund. I guess I will have to live with the dead pixel for a while longer, maybe I will get one for Christmas. That is a realistic goal.

On an really exciting note, The Basye's are coming for a 2 week visit on Tuesday June 28th! I am so excited to see them and just hang out. Dakota is growing up so fast in the pictures that she sends me. Elizabeth and Dakota get along real well too.

Well, I guess I need to go and pack a diaper bag and such. I have a few errands that I have to do before my doctors appointment this afternoon. AArgh.

So what exactly would one define a long nap? Wouldn't you agree that if one only got a total of maybe 6 hours of sleep (this one being Elizabeth) the previous night that a nap would be long? And for a mom who only got 3 hours don't you think that she would be looking forward to a long nap? Let me define long....more than 2 hours. And now you ask how long was your nap?? 45 minutes. Mommy could have slept longer, Elizabeth could not. Her cough is AWFUL!! She has not stopped coughing since 5:30 this morning. That's like 12 hours!! I hope the stuff that the dr gave us to give her at bedtime knocks her out for at least 8 hours. On a positive note, off to my Body Shop Girls Night Out at Amanda's :)

Well, Elizabeth IS sick again. We just got home from the doctor and she has a bad head cold and since she has asthma it makes everything that much worse. Right now I am running on 3 hours of sleep. She just hasn't stopped coughing, I am sure that eventually her little body is just going to stop and go to sleep. She just can't get any good rest with the cough and we are both cranky because of it. Pop-Pop is stopping by for a bit on his way home from work then I think that we are both going to take a nice LONG nap. Tonight I am going to a Body Shop party with Cindy over at Amanda's house. I know that it is going to be so much fun, I have been looking forward to this since Amanda set a date for the party. I think that I might have one of my own too.
